Responsibilities
- Lead and manage product development engineering teams and define engineering plans.
- Develop project plans and allocate resources based on technical proposals and internal capabilities.
- Act as a Control Account Manager (CAM) and manage resource deployment among teams.
- Serve as a technical liaison with program management and customers, refining project plans as needed.
- Ensure process improvement and design standardization objectives are met.
- Oversee budget planning and cost management for engineering systems and staffing.
- Mentor team members and maintain leadership capabilities through continued education and training.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a science technical discipline; Master’s preferred.
- 10-12 years of related experience with prior management/supervisory responsibility.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience is highly desired.
- Proficient with project management and engineering documentation tools.
- Ability to lead research projects and make cost and investment trade-off decisions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence team and functional objectives.
- Knowledge of industry practices, government regulations, and internal policies.
