Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage product development engineering teams and define engineering plans.
  • Develop project plans and allocate resources based on technical proposals and internal capabilities.
  • Act as a Control Account Manager (CAM) and manage resource deployment among teams.
  • Serve as a technical liaison with program management and customers, refining project plans as needed.
  • Ensure process improvement and design standardization objectives are met.
  • Oversee budget planning and cost management for engineering systems and staffing.
  • Mentor team members and maintain leadership capabilities through continued education and training.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a science technical discipline; Master’s preferred.
  • 10-12 years of related experience with prior management/supervisory responsibility.
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience is highly desired.
  • Proficient with project management and engineering documentation tools.
  • Ability to lead research projects and make cost and investment trade-off decisions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence team and functional objectives.
  • Knowledge of industry practices, government regulations, and internal policies.
