Responsibilities
- Guide the roadmap for automation to support the growth of OpenAI's storage footprint and platform.
- Build and scale data-movement capabilities for large training datasets.
- Partner with Infra Strategy to plan, procure, and deliver storage on time.
- Define and ship blob storage segmentation and policies for internal users.
- Create documentation and runbooks for safe and quick adoption of storage services.
- Manage complex projects and drive information and decision hygiene across teams.
- Thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and demonstrate resourcefulness.
Job Requirements
- Degree in a hard science or demonstrated engineering expertise.
- 5+ years of experience in program management for major projects.
- Ability to tackle ambiguous technical problems involving GPU, Storage, and AI/ML platforms.
- Proven track record of delivering high-profile technical projects.
- Experience managing cross-functional and cross-company teams.
- Expertise in designing scalable processes that solve complex problems.
- Experience managing logistics and supply chains.
