Responsibilities
- Specify and decompose the hierarchical scenario space into a scenario taxonomy.
- Identify and design key features of the Scenario Taxonomy based on system capabilities and stakeholder requirements.
- Assess the Scenario Taxonomy for data correctness, accuracy, and sufficiency in identifying failure modes.
- Work closely with teams in Systems V&V, Autonomy Development, Mapping, Data Infrastructure, and Operations.
- Collaborate on the validation process related to scenario specifications and test coverage.
- Engage in systems engineering concepts of requirements, verification, and validation.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or related field.
- Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills with attention to detail.
- Understanding of existing taxonomy efforts, including database structures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience driving a motorized vehicle on public roads in the US.
- Basic understanding of autonomous vehicle technology and simulation capabilities.
- Ability to write code in Python and perform basic data queries.
