Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support on drilling equipment
- Conceptualize design solutions
- Interpret and apply technical specifications
- Research and select buyout parts and materials for designs
- Create/check design layouts, detail & assembly drawings, bills-of-material, and tolerance studies
- Produce/check calculations, stress analysis, and technical specifications
- Support new product design and identify product improvements
Job Requirements
- BSME degree or other advanced engineering degree, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years of design experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of engineering standards and procedures
- Self-directed and highly motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to work individually or in a design team setting
- Preferred design experience with oilfield drilling equipment and proficiency in CAD software (Creo, Inventor, Solidworks)
