Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to Engineering on manufacturing techniques to meet design requirements.
- Participate in tool design reviews to improve assembly efficiency and reduce costs.
- Define the sequence of operations for product builds.
- Investigate and initiate corrective actions for non-conforming products.
- Identify improvement opportunities for producibility and affordability.
- Review designs and create planning for subsystems like hydraulics and fuel systems.
- Act as a technical representative for the Manufacturing organization.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s in STEM with 1 year of related experience or a Master’s in STEM with no experience.
- Active DOD Secret security clearance.
- Ability to obtain/maintain Special Access Program clearance.
- For Principal Engineer: Bachelor’s in STEM with 4 years of experience or Master’s with 3 years.
- Experience in CAD software (NX, Catia) and GD&T.
- Excellent communication skills for product improvement proposals.
- Aerospace Defense Manufacturing experience preferred.
