Responsibilities
- Design mechanical parts and assemblies, including 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing drafting.
- Communicate with suppliers and customers to exchange technical information.
- Coordinate with supply chain and manufacturing regarding design and process improvements.
- Collaborate with functional areas on product design/documentation.
- Troubleshoot, inspect, or assemble parts/subsystems for prototyping and production.
- Perform tolerance stack up analysis and author reports.
- Create and deliver engineering briefings or reports for design review activities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM discipline and 2 years of related experience, or a Master’s/PhD in a STEM discipline.
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
- Experience designing aircraft parts/components and assemblies.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 testing requirements.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably Creo.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Preferred degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
