Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and development of Nextracker's horizontal tracking products.
- Perform engineering work using CAD/CAE software for mechanical/structural design.
- Validate designs through FEA, prototype testing, and more.
- Develop testing fixtures that simulate real-world scenarios.
- Document engineering tests and write technical reports.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions with the mechanical engineering team.
- Travel to project sites to observe live construction.
Job Requirements
- B.S. (in progress) in Mechanical Engineering or related field, graduating in Spring 2025/26.
- Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
- Practical knowledge of machine shop tools and 3D printing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated team player with cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in common PC applications (Word, Excel, PPT).
- Preferred experience with LabView, MATLAB, and Python.
