Responsibilities
- Analyze engineering design specifications for manufacturability (DFM).
- Develop structured process flows from complex design and testing specifications.
- Conduct capacity assessments at supplier sites for production readiness.
- Collaborate with design engineers to understand piece part and assembly designs.
- Work with procurement to source parts and assess supplier capabilities.
- Act as the liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.
- Create and implement production part approval processes (PPAP) with suppliers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a STEM discipline.
- 5+ years of manufacturing, process, or supply chain engineering experience.
- 5+ years of experience with PCB, mechanical, or electronic assembly manufacturing.
- Knowledge of supplier quality processes and quality systems (ISO 9000/TS/AS9100/NADCAP).
- Familiarity with statistical techniques, such as Six Sigma.
- Proven track record of ownership and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze supplier quality and delivery metrics for improvement.
