Responsibilities
- Analyze engineering design specifications for manufacturability (DFM).
- Develop structured process flows from complex engineering designs.
- Conduct capacity assessments at supplier sites for production readiness.
- Collaborate with design engineers on assembly and subsystem designs.
- Work with procurement to source parts aligned with supplier capabilities.
- Serve as the liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.
- Create and implement production part approval processes (PPAP).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a STEM discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, process, or supply chain engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with PCB, mechanical, or electronic assemblies.
- Knowledge of supplier quality processes and quality systems (ISO, TS, AS9100).
- Proven negotiation skills and ownership in project outcomes.
- Familiarity with statistical techniques like Six Sigma and design of experiments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
