Responsibilities
- Analyze engineering design specifications for manufacturability.
- Develop structured process flows from complex engineering designs.
- Conduct capacity assessments at supplier sites for production readiness.
- Collaborate with design engineers to understand design intent.
- Work with procurement to source parts aligned with supplier capabilities.
- Act as a liaison to resolve supplier quality issues and provide technical support.
- Create and implement production part approval processes (PPAP) with suppliers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a STEM discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, process or supply chain engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with PCB, mechanical, or electronic assembly manufacturing.
- Knowledge of supplier quality processes and quality systems (ISO 9000/TS/AS9100/NADCAP).
- Proficiency in statistical techniques and methods such as Six Sigma.
- Proven track record in ownership and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze supplier quality metrics and drive improvement plans.
