Responsibilities
- Analyze engineering design specifications for manufacturability.
- Develop structured process flows from complex engineering designs.
- Conduct capacity assessments at supplier sites for NPI and production ramps.
- Collaborate with design engineers to understand assembly and subsystem design.
- Work with procurement to source parts aligned with supplier competencies.
- Liaise between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
- Create and implement a production part approval process (PPAP) with suppliers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a STEM discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, process, or supply chain engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with PCB, mechanical, or electronic assemblies manufacturing.
- Knowledge of supplier quality processes and quality systems (ISO 9000/TS/AS9100/NADCAP).
- Proven track record of ownership and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with statistical techniques and methods, including Six Sigma.
- Strong ability to analyze and provide feedback on engineering design specifications.
