Responsibilities
- Take ownership of or contribute to the design, documentation, build, and test of spacecraft and their components.
- Propose and iterate on the design for mechanical components.
- Write tests and monitoring to verify performance.
- Conduct analysis to support both development and testing.
- Collaborate with team members on projects.
- Create project documentation, including project notebooks and presentations.
- Utilize CAD software for design tasks.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as Solidworks.
- Relevant coursework or experience in design, mechanics of materials, and related fields.
- A design portfolio showcasing mechanical projects.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is a plus.
- Understanding of physics and orbital mechanics is beneficial.
- Experience with testing mechanical components is desirable.
- Ability to create project documentation and presentations.
