Design Engineer II - Mechanical

The Design Engineer II role involves creating design engineering drawings and documents for customer orders, supporting manufacturing efforts, and providing customer support for Electrical Distribution Division products.

• Oversee preparation of technical documents (drawings, BOM, etc.) for order placements and manufacturing.
• Prepare design direction and clarification for Designers.
• Develop product BOM and design drawings to meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate design efforts with production, purchasing, and quality personnel.
• Assist Manufacturing and Quality in resolving production problems.
• Act as project leader for design, test, and prototype programs.
• Travel to customer sites and trade shows for product support and training.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in design/application engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical transmission and distribution products.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment on multiple projects.
• Proficiency in technical document creation and CAD software.
