Responsibilities
- Design mechanical parts and sub-assemblies for high volume manufacturing in laptops and tablets.
- Work with suppliers and ODM partners to coordinate mechanical engineering activities and oversee progress.
- Guide engineering development work to ensure mechanical subsystems meet schedule and cost.
- Communicate team progress to partner teams and management.
- Identify and communicate key program risks and backup plans.
- Document engineering learnings and share with peers for future product development.
- Utilize CAD software for mechanical design.
Job Requirements
- Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with relevant experience.
- Experience in mechanical design using CAD software.
- Knowledge of designing complex assemblies using various manufacturing techniques.
- Ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees and additional years of experience in mechanical engineering.
