Responsibilities
- Supervise a small unit engaged in design, construction supervision, and inspection.
- Prepare designs, plans, contract specifications, and technical specifications.
- Review electrical engineering plans and designs for compliance with NYC codes.
- Participate in major inspection operations and certify the installation of materials or equipment.
- Oversee the inspection of premises and construction or alteration of structures.
- Participate in the operation and maintenance of public works.
- Operate a motor vehicle as required.
Job Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in electrical or electronic engineering.
- One year of full-time satisfactory experience in electrical engineering work, or a Master’s degree in the same field.
- Basic knowledge of elevator and escalator systems.
- Understanding of relevant codes and standards (NEC, ASME A17.1/CSA B44, NFPA).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Good decision-making skills.
