Responsibilities
- Develop specifications, drawings, procedures, and system functional descriptions for equipment.
- Inspect new and rehabbed cars and locomotives.
- Maintain rolling stock drawings, diagrams, and schematics for rehabilitation programs.
- Update existing service manuals and technical instructions.
- Create comprehensive reports on project statuses and results.
- Review vendor quotes and proposals for specification compliance.
- Participate in design review meetings for new equipment and rolling stock.
Job Requirements
- Relevant experience in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Ability to develop technical documents and specifications.
- Strong inspection and evaluation skills for rolling stock.
- Experience with project management and reporting.
- Knowledge of compliance with policies and procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for design reviews.
