Responsibilities
- Conduct collaborative research on developing novel end effectors for robotic dexterous manipulation.
- Rapid prototype end effector mechatronic design and test.
- Develop benchmarks to assess the performance of each prototype.
- Apply design-in-simulation and optimization techniques using physics models.
- Design, fabricate, and test novel end effectors leveraging advanced transducers.
- Collaborate with software researchers to create frameworks for training control policies.
- Communicate research plans, progress, and results with team members and partners.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing or obtaining a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a relevant field.
- Understanding of robotic manipulation and technology advancements.
- Experience with rapid prototyping in hardware and software.
- Must have work authorization in the country of employment.
- Preferred qualifications include a proven track record in research and experience with electro-mechanical design tools.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, C/C++, and robotics frameworks like ROS.
- Intent to return to degree program after the internship.
