Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical and electrical systems for robotics, balancing ergonomics, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to support parts fabrication and complex custom sub-assemblies.
- Assemble robots and construct prototypes in the lab.
- Conduct failure analysis, build test fixtures, design tests, and analyze data to refine designs.
- Work closely with a cross-functional team to deliver technical solutions.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Mechanical/Electrical Design Engineering with a focus on Machine Design or Electrical component development.
- BS degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in designing electromechanical assemblies (robotics, automotive, aerospace).
- Experience with CAD tools like SOLIDWORKS or Siemens NX.
- Familiarity with prototyping processes and embedded systems.
- Knowledge of tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Preferred experience in simulation tools and mass production manufacturing processes.
