Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design for specific components, features, or systems.
- Contribute to mechanical solutions within a cross-functional team.
- Model, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems.
- Manage the full product development cycle from concept to shipping.
- Collaborate with Asia-based Supply Chain.
- Innovate solutions for complex mechanical problems with cross-functional teams.
- Travel to external vendors up to 20%.
Job Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8+ years of industry experience in mechanical design.
- Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Knowledge of material properties and testing/analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing techniques.
- Preferred: 10+ years in product design and development of handheld/wearable electronics.
- Preferred: MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
