Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design for components, features, or systems with a comprehensive understanding of product development.
- Contribute mechanical solutions within a cross-functional team.
- Model, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems.
- Manage the full product development cycle, from concept inception to product shipping.
- Collaborate with Asia-based Supply Chain for project management.
- Innovate technologies and approaches to address complex mechanical challenges.
- Travel to external vendors up to 20%.
Job Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of industry experience in mechanical design.
- Proficiency in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and CAD.
- Knowledge of material properties and high-volume manufacturing techniques.
- Experience in testing and analysis, including FEA and simulations.
- Preferred: 8+ years in product design for high-volume consumer electronics.
- Preferred: MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
