Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical team through the full product development cycle to deliver mechanical component/subsystem designs from concept to production.
- Define and execute long-term roadmaps in partnership with hardware and research teams.
- Partner with researchers and industry to advance TRL of component technology and de-risk integration.
- Mentor and coach other mechanical engineers.
- Leverage technical knowledge to influence business strategy and research portfolio.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience developing high-volume consumer products with stringent SWAP-C constraints.
- 10+ years of experience in 3D CAD modeling (NX or similar).
- Experience in advancing design and manufacturing technologies.
- Experience influencing VPs & Directors on business strategy.
- A history of creating an environment of mentorship in a mechanical team.
- Technical depth in Robotics, Textiles, and/or Elastomers.
