Responsibilities
- Act as the primary cross-functional interface with various teams and audio developers.
- Design custom moving coil and MEMS speakers and optimize components for performance.
- Present findings and recommendations from simulations and measurements to gain buy-in.
- Conduct multi-physic simulations of transducers and optimize sub-components.
- Benchmark and verify transducer performance using industry-standard tools.
- Facilitate factory test design and specifications for manufacturing partners.
- Evaluate and design-in new materials and technologies for audio applications.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Acoustics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant field.
- 6+ years of experience with micro-speakers and transducers.
- 3+ years of experience with consumer hardware products and audio materials.
- Proficiency in failure analysis and data analysis.
- Preferred: M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Acoustics or Physics.
- Experience with COMSOL and audio architectural design.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to address design issues.
