Mechatronics/Electrical Engineer

Hocc Robotics is an AI Robotics company striving to be the best in the world at creating open, general-purpose humanoid robots for the real world. We're looking for foundational engineers in hardware to build the future of open-sourced humanoid robot platforms for everyone.

We are looking for a founding team Mechatronics/EE Engineer to design, test, and implement key hardware components for our humanoid.

• Lead the design and development process for all electronic components of the chassis, including sensors and motors, from conceptualization to manufacturing.
• Work in tandem with mechanical engineers to ensure the electronics integrate seamlessly with the mechanical aspects of the chassis, optimizing for performance and reliability.
• Evaluate and select appropriate sensors and motors based on product requirements, ensuring compatibility and efficiency.
• Prototype, test, and iterate on electronic designs to meet or exceed product specifications and performance goals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electronics-related issues during product development and testing.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Experience in electronics design and manufacturing, specifically with sensors and motors.
• Proficient in electronic design software (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, or similar).
• Strong understanding of electronic manufacturing processes and experience working with external manufacturers.
• Experience with prototyping and testing electronic components and systems.
