Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and develop components and assemblies for generator hardware integration.
- Own designs from concept through prototype build, testing, and production release.
- Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings with tolerancing and GD&T.
- Support root cause analysis and resolution of mechanical issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Electrical Engineering and Manufacturing.
- Participate in design reviews and manage BOMs and documentation.
- Select materials and surface treatments for various conditions.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; BS + 5 years or MS + 3 years of experience.
- Experience in analysis of industrial equipment components.
- Hands-on prototyping and designing test fixtures experience.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability.
- Experience performing technical reviews for CAD design release packages.
- Proficient in SolidWorks or comparable CAD software.
- Interest in developing solutions for zero carbon energy technology.
