Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to refine product designs and market strategies.
- Brainstorm and evaluate new solutions for product development.
- Test ideas and designs through calculations, physical tests, and simulations.
- Design parts and assemblies for high-performance and manufacturability.
- Manage bills of materials, costs, and engineering releases.
- Define manufacturing processes and inspection methods.
- Support prototypes and production by working directly with manufacturers.
Job Requirements
- Extensive experience in mechanical design and 3D modeling software (e.g., Onshape, NX, Solidworks).
- Knowledge of PCBA Bed of Nails fixture creation and GD&T.
- Proficient in design analysis techniques like Finite Element Analysis and Root Cause Analysis.
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment and mechanical components for high cycle count.
- Experience with pneumatic cylinders, thermal management, and prototyping skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and generate detailed design documentation.
- Willingness to travel for onsite build support at manufacturing sites.
