Responsibilities
- Take ownership of parts of the Battery Enclosure from concept to production.
- Optimize mechanical designs for size, weight, durability, and cost.
- Create 3D designs and GD&T drawings of complex parts and assemblies.
- Integrate mechanical designs with high voltage electrical systems.
- Demonstrate technical excellence and apply first-principle engineering.
- Design and conduct testing to verify system functions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to solve engineering problems.
Job Requirements
- Previous ownership of complex parts that have shipped in volume.
- Direct experience in mechanical design of structural components.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and material selection.
- 3+ years of CAD experience, proficient with CATIA or similar software.
- Experience in design release engineering.
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
