Responsibilities
- Create designs in collaboration with the vehicle packaging team and other engineering inputs.
- Optimize mechanical designs for size, weight, durability, performance, and cost.
- Determine required tolerances using GD&T.
- Integrate mechanical designs with high voltage electrical systems.
- Develop solutions and improvements proactively.
- Utilize strong 3D CAD skills, particularly with CATIA or similar software.
- Engage in hands-on practical experience with shop tools and prototyping.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Strong creative design engineering and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes like injection molding and die casting.
- Preferred experience with electric propulsion systems and automotive engineering.
- A can-do attitude and determination in work approach.
