Responsibilities
- Create designs interactively with the vehicle packaging team and other product engineering inputs.
- Optimize mechanical designs for size, weight, durability, performance, and cost.
- Determine required tolerances using GD&T.
- Integrate mechanical designs with high voltage electrical systems.
- Exhibit a can-do attitude and approach work with vigor and determination.
- Utilize strong 3D CAD skills and hands-on practical experience with shop tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding and sheet metal stamping.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
- Strong 3D CAD skills, proficient with CATIA or similar software.
- Hands-on practical experience with shop tools and prototyping.
- Knowledge of electric propulsion systems and automotive engineering is preferred.
- A flair for creative design engineering and problem-solving.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
