Responsibilities
- Create designs interactively with the vehicle packaging team and other product engineering inputs.
- Optimize mechanical designs for size, weight, durability, performance, and cost.
- Determine required tolerances using GD&T.
- Integrate mechanical designs with high voltage electrical systems in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Utilize strong 3D CAD skills, proficient in CATIA or similar software.
- Apply hands-on practical experience with shop tools and prototyping.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, sheet metal stamping, and die casting.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or equivalent work experience in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2-4 years of experience in a relevant engineering role.
- Strong creative design engineering and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software.
- Hands-on experience with shop tools and prototyping.
- Familiarity with electric propulsion systems and automotive engineering is preferred.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
