Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturing processes and specifications for custom equipment.
- Collaborate with external equipment integrators on automation equipment design.
- Validate and characterize new equipment and fixtures for production.
- Create detailed Manufacturing Instructions to document new processes.
- Design production workstations for ergonomics and efficiency.
- Design manufacturing equipment and fixtures.
- Drive design for manufacturability (DFM).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years in Automotive Manufacturing or related field.
- Experience with aluminum sheet metal, castings, and extrusion in assembly processes.
- Experience developing manufacturing processes for new products.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred, Catia is a plus).
- Familiarity with automated manufacturing equipment.
- Experience introducing new equipment and processes into production.
