Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
- Create RFQs and analyze supplier quotations to develop sourcing recommendations.
- Negotiate contracts regarding parts pricing, tooling costs, and Engineering Services.
- Work with suppliers to release parts into production and manage purchase orders.
- Oversee supplier development timelines and resolve issues related to part availability.
- Maintain supplier relationships and manage all commercial issues.
- Travel to suppliers for business and program reviews (15-25% travel).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering, preferably in casting and extrusions.
- Understanding of body design and experience in sourcing related commodities.
- Product launch experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent).
- Ability to creatively mitigate unforeseen problems and manage complex supplier relationships.
