Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer role at Longshot Space Technologies involves supporting the design, development, and testing of electronic systems essential for kinetic launch technology. The position requires collaboration with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to refine hardware for launch platforms.

• Assist in the design, testing, and integration of all electronic systems for the accelerator.
• Contribute to schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection for key subsystems.
• Participate in the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of hardware in lab and field environments.
• Support development and debugging of embedded firmware within data acquisition systems.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for electronic and firmware systems.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure electrical systems meet performance and reliability goals.
• Support integration of electrical systems with mechanical, fluids, and software components.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of industry experience (or equivalent academic/research experience).
• Familiarity with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad) and circuit simulation tools.
• Experience working with embedded systems (e.g., RP2040, ARM, STM32, or similar).
• Comfortable with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
• Exposure to high-voltage systems, analog/mixed-signal design, or RF is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
