Responsibilities
- Design and oversee technical performance for ordnance components and assemblies.
- Ensure flight certification for the initiation system and separation mechanisms.
- Coordinate with customers, ordnance suppliers, and test facilities.
- Lead the conceptual development and requirements definition for ordnance components.
- Perform trade studies to determine appropriate design solutions.
- Develop product performance specifications and supplier data requirements.
- Engage in occasional travel as needed.
Job Requirements
- Experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in ordnance or pyrotechnics.
- Strong understanding of subsystem integration, especially in aerospace applications.
- Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including suppliers and test facilities.
- Proficiency in developing technical specifications and statements of work.
- Familiarity with design and manufacturing processes related to ordnance components.
- Capability to conduct trade studies and evaluate design solutions.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for project needs.
