Responsibilities
- Develop and execute manufacturing plans for development and prototype hardware, including machining, welding, assembly, and first-cut processes.
- Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to improve producibility and support long-term transition to production.
- Lead rapid responses to design defects, part non-conformance, and emergent rework, including on-the-fly planning and machining process changes.
- Serve as a liaison to development program teams, supporting labor estimating, planning reviews, and weekly/biweekly status reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of manufacturing plans and delivery of high-quality products.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a relevant field.
- Strong knowledge of machining, welding, assembly, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to develop and execute manufacturing plans independently.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to respond rapidly to design defects.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for manufacturing and continuous improvement.
