Responsibilities
- Collaborate with scientific teams to develop novel concepts for AI Science Factories.
- Lead the ideation process for breakthrough instrumentation and workflows.
- Prototype and validate new apparatus and software tools.
- Transfer successful prototypes into production-ready systems.
- Document and communicate development processes from ideation to integration.
- Engage in cross-disciplinary collaboration to enhance project outcomes.
- Utilize programming skills to support scientific and engineering workflows.
Job Requirements
- MS or PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in generating and refining conceptual ideas in collaboration with teams.
- Hands-on experience in designing and building scientific apparatus or software tools.
- Strong programming experience in Python, C++, or similar.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environment.
- Experience with lab automation, robotics, or instrument control software (bonus).
- Background in hardware prototyping tools (3D printing, machining, etc.) (bonus).
