Responsibilities
- Primary engineering responsibility for mechanical design tasks of electronics packaging.
- Understand schedule, cost, and technical responsibility at the component or subsystem level.
- Prototype and test component parts and assemblies.
- Develop test plans and procedures for mechanical subsystems.
- Perform test and evaluation of component parts and systems.
- Participate in peer reviews and design reviews.
- Direct designers/technicians as part of a design team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with 2 years of experience.
- 2+ years of experience packaging electronics for military environments.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling (PTC Creo, Catia, NX, or Solidworks).
- Knowledge of mechanical demands and thermal management principles.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
