Responsibilities
- Owner of RFQ's and ensure all commercial terms are documented.
- Drive price and tooling negotiations to meet commodity pricing and quality standards.
- Address category management including business plans and sourcing strategies.
- Monitor industry trends and partner with Design teams to manage supply and demand challenges.
- Manage supplier relationships, including dispute resolution and performance reviews.
- Participate in design reviews and drive decisions from a cost perspective.
- Lead cross-functional teams to manage project timelines and communicate key issues with management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering +5 years of experience, or Master's degree +3 years of experience.
- 2 years of experience in Mechanical Systems and Metallics commodity management.
- Experience in managing custom, build-to-order parts.
- Proficient in reading and negotiating supplier contracts.
- Technical fluency in MS Office products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices.
