Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, build, test, and integrate mechanical systems for quantum computers.
- Distill design requirements, develop prototypes, test and analyze designs, and perform design iterations.
- Design enclosures to isolate components from environmental fluctuations.
- Model system dynamics including modal analysis, heat transfer, and vibration.
- Characterize performance of mechanical systems and environmental impacts.
- Interact with suppliers and collaborate with supply chain sourcing.
- Contribute to a culture of inclusion and maintain professional relationships.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a relevant degree.
- 3-5 years of experience with mechanical design and thermal management.
- Strong background in mechanical analyses and thermal engineering.
- Experience with software tools such as SolidWorks and ANSYS.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Hands-on experience in a lab environment.
- Familiarity with thermal and mechanical metrology tools.
