Responsibilities
- Serve as head technical designer on cross-functional project teams.
- Translate clinical requirements and user needs to functional and electrical specifications.
- Work with manufacturing engineering and product design engineering teams to understand product requirements.
- Develop test strategies and design hardware test interfaces for new PCA, subassembly, or system designs.
- Ensure designs meet manufacturability, safety, reliability, and testability requirements.
- Establish requirements for equipment preventative maintenance and calibration.
- Ensure FDA/GMP and ISO compliance through unit testing, peer reviews, and validation of hardware.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience.
- Practical knowledge in analog and digital design, plus statistics.
- Proven track record in electronic designs for medical devices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with electronic lab equipment and common business programs.
- Experience in debug of electronic assemblies and associated test fixtures.
