Responsibilities
- Serve as head technical designer on cross-functional project teams.
- Translate clinical requirements and user needs to functional and electrical specifications.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and product design engineering teams to understand product requirements.
- Develop test strategies and design hardware test interfaces for new PCA, subassembly, or system designs.
- Ensure designs meet manufacturability, safety, reliability, and testability requirements.
- Establish requirements for equipment preventative maintenance and calibration.
- Provide technical advice and mentoring to other engineers.
Job Requirements
- Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience in electronic designs for medical devices.
- Practical knowledge in analog and digital design.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and integrating test fixtures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with electronic lab equipment and common business programs.
- Knowledge of design tools and programming languages is preferred.
