Responsibilities
- Perform engineering tasks and documentation related to medical device development.
- Design, assemble, and debug mechanical/electromechanical test fixtures.
- Develop methods and execute performance tests on prototypes.
- Create design concepts or refine existing designs.
- Communicate and collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Work on substantive projects impacting the company's future.
- Present project involvement and lessons learned to the organization.
Job Requirements
- Enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering or relevant degree program.
- Availability for full-time work during a 10-12 week internship.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Mechanical design and analysis skills (statics, dynamics, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping and mock-ups.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, CAD (SolidWorks), and Matlab/Python.
- Knowledge of electromechanical or mechatronics design.
