Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-disciplinary design team to develop and verify new concepts for advanced energy instruments.
- Manage requirements generation and maintain system architecture.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks in compliance with ISO standards.
- Collaborate with test engineering teams to verify design requirements.
- Communicate technical progress and program risks to senior leadership.
- Mentor junior engineers and support team growth.
- Contribute to clinical discussions and generate Design History File documentation.
Job Requirements
- BS or MS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of development experience in a regulated environment.
- Experience in electromechanical design and medical device development.
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and understanding of FDA regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a technical team.
- Familiarity with energy-based surgical products is preferred.
