Responsibilities
- Collaborate with R&D engineers to develop concepts and prototypes.
- Utilize in-house prototyping capabilities (3D printing, lathe, mill) for rapid prototyping and validation.
- Create CAD designs and oversee prototype fabrication with external vendors.
- Analyze and test design concepts for feasibility and performance.
- Present concepts, analyses, and findings to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Support critical design validation testing as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering or related field.
- Ethical, responsible, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Self-starter, detail-oriented, and effective communicator.
- Proficiency in office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in engineering software (SolidWorks, ANSYS, Matlab preferred).
- Experience with lab equipment (Instron, balances, microscopes, oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Completion of one prior co-op or 6-months of similar internship experience preferred.
