Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes for opto-mechanical assemblies.
- Develop, document, and optimize metrology processes for opto-mechanical assemblies in production.
- Collaborate with optical design engineers to ensure manufacturability and DFM/DFA of optical assemblies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on quality and long-term reliability.
- Manage the optics manufacturing cleanroom, including sourcing equipment and setting processes.
- Provide day-to-day support for the production floor, resolving build issues and improving yields.
- Support environmental and functional testing in production.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- 3+ years of demonstrated manufacturing experience in high-precision opto-mechanical manufacturing.
- 3+ years of optical metrology equipment experience.
- Preferred: MS/PhD degree in relevant fields.
- Preferred: 6+ years of experience in high-precision opto-mechanical manufacturing.
- Preferred: Experience with optical centration station automation and oversight.
- Preferred: Background in design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and continuous improvement methods.
