Responsibilities
- Evaluate requirements and develop mechanical design for avionics systems.
- Conduct design reviews for cross-disciplinary consensus.
- Design products for manufacturability and collaborate with suppliers.
- Perform hand calculations and FEA for system performance predictions.
- Analyze structural modes, thermal performance, and other critical aspects.
- Develop and document efficient build processes with technicians.
- Communicate technical challenges and resolve concerns.
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a related engineering program (Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace).
- Experience with CAD software for mechanical component design.
- Understanding of static loads and heat transfer methods.
- Familiarity with fabrication methods such as CNC milling and 3D printing.
- Basic mechanical tool handling skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly.
- Strong communication skills for technical discussions.
