Responsibilities
- Oversee cradle to grave ownership of electrical power architecture and components.
- Mentor junior engineers and establish team standards and tools.
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to architect power systems.
- Design flight hardware and necessary ground/test equipment.
- Work with vendors to identify commercial and custom solutions.
- Support the build and test of prototype vehicles.
- Engage in a fast-paced and iterative build and test environment.
Job Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical/Aerospace with significant industry experience.
- 5+ years in battery design, motor controller design, harness design, and power conditioning.
- Experience designing high power (>5kw) electronic components or distributed systems.
- Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage DC systems and components.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and programming languages.
- Familiarity with aerospace systems engineering practices and industry standards.
