Responsibilities
- Fully own critical flight hardware
- Work with system owners to architect and place components within systems
- Component level architecture and sizing
- Component design, analysis, development testing, qualification, production introduction
- Scope vehicle level operational methods and limits to ensure reliability and personnel safety
- Design/build cutting-edge gearboxes, pumps, motors, and generators for hypersonic aircraft
- Collaborate with manufacturing team to establish production infrastructure
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (mechanical, aerospace, physics, materials, etc.)
- 3+ years of Engineering or related experience
- Experience using CAD to design parts and assemblies
- Passion for hardware design and development
- Willingness to travel for hardware and flight tests
- Preferred: Master’s degree and 5+ years of experience in hardware development
- Proficiency in Gear Design, Bearing Design, and related fields
