Responsibilities
- Fully own critical flight hardware.
- Work with system owners to architect and place components within systems.
- Component level architecture and sizing.
- Component design, analysis, development testing, qualification, production introduction.
- Scope vehicle level operational methods and limits to ensure reliability and personnel safety.
- Design/build cutting edge gearboxes, pumps, motors, and generators for hypersonic aircraft.
- Work with manufacturing team to establish necessary production infrastructure.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (mechanical, aerospace, physics, materials, etc.).
- 3+ years of Engineering experience related to fluid or engine systems.
- Experience using CAD to design parts and assemblies.
- Passion for hardware design and development.
- Willingness to travel to support hardware and flight tests.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and stack-up analysis.
- Professional experience using Siemens NX/Teamcenter and ANSYS.
