Responsibilities
- Solve structural static and dynamic problems through hand calculations, finite element analysis, or test data
- Define external loads from flight maneuvers, gust, takeoff, and landing for structural design and analysis
- Generate vehicle finite element models to assess static and dynamic load cases
- Characterize aeroelastic effects such as flutter
- Define random vibration environments from buffet and engine dynamics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal formats
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a STEM program at an accredited college or university
- Strong understanding of engineering first principles
- Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams
- Enthusiasm for aviation and Hermeus's mission
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- Practical experience through internships, studies, or projects
