Responsibilities
- Own and understand a large scope of subsystem designs such as electromagnetic, structural, fluid, thermal, and control systems.
- Learn from historical engineering approaches and design novel hardware.
- Test solutions and integrate them into fusion devices.
- Design fusion hardware using CAD software (e.g., NX, Solidworks).
- Perform analysis with tools like ANSYS and conduct design reviews.
- Work hands-on with experienced technicians to implement hardware designs.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues on integrated fusion generators.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- 5+ years of professional experience in full-scope engineering projects.
- Experience applying engineering first-principles and method-based thinking.
- Hands-on exposure to mechanical, electrical, and fluids engineering.
- Advanced experience with CAD software (e.g., NX, Solidworks).
- Experience with FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, FEMAP).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
