Responsibilities
- Own and improve subsystem designs including electromagnetic, structural, fluid, thermal, and control systems.
- Learn from historical engineering approaches and design novel hardware for testing and integration.
- Design hardware using CAD software such as NX or SolidWorks.
- Perform analysis with tools like ANSYS and lead design reviews.
- Expand engineering skills and domain knowledge by collaborating with experts.
- Work hands-on with technicians to build and implement hardware designs.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues on integrated fusion generators.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years of professional experience in engineering projects.
- Experience applying first-principles and method-based thinking.
- Hands-on exposure to mechanical, electrical, and fluids engineering.
- Advanced experience with CAD software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks).
- Experience with FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, FEMAP).
- Ability to own project schedules and deliver full-scope engineering projects.
