Responsibilities
- Design, test, troubleshoot, and support high voltage electrical power systems for pulsed magnetic coils.
- Oversee design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of high-power electrical systems.
- Develop electrical system architecture and collaborate on electrical schematics and installation drawings.
- Conduct technical peer reviews to ensure cost-effective and reliable design solutions.
- Collaborate with operators during machine commissioning and throughout the machine's lifecycle.
- Manage engineering practices related to cost, schedule, and resource estimates.
- Utilize advanced electronic troubleshooting systems and engineering tools.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in power systems engineering or high voltage pulsed power systems.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Experience in design, fabrication, installation, and testing of high voltage electronics.
- Strong background in solid state switching technologies and power electronic components.
- Technical expertise in engineering concepts, principles, and project leadership.
- Proficiency with standard engineering tools such as oscilloscopes and PCB design software.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, LTSpice, SIMtrex/Simplis, Altium, and Matlab.
