Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of Balance of Plant systems, including heat transport and power conversion systems.
- Perform system-level modeling and thermal-hydraulic analyses to optimize performance.
- Collaborate with nuclear, mechanical, and structural engineers for seamless integration.
- Support component specification and vendor coordination for critical subsystems.
- Develop P&IDs, system flow diagrams, and interface control documents.
- Conduct trade studies on system configurations and materials for efficiency.
- Contribute to system safety assessments and design reviews per NRC and ASME standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Systems Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in thermal-fluid systems or power generation.
- Proficiency with thermal-hydraulic modeling and simulation tools.
- Knowledge of heat exchangers, pumps, and piping design.
- Experience with system integration and mechanical design in power plants.
- Familiarity with ASME design codes.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
