Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of Balance of Plant systems, including heat transport and power conversion.
- Perform system-level modeling and thermal-hydraulic analyses.
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure integration between reactor and external systems.
- Support component specification and vendor coordination for BOP subsystems.
- Develop P&IDs and system flow diagrams.
- Conduct trade studies on system configurations and materials.
- Contribute to safety assessments and design reviews per NRC and ASME standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Systems Engineering (PhD preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in thermal-fluid systems or plant design.
- Proficiency with thermal-hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., RELAP5, MATLAB).
- Knowledge of heat exchangers and piping design.
- Experience with system integration and mechanical design for power plants.
- Familiarity with ASME design codes.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
