Mechanical Design Engineer Intern

The Mechanical Design Engineer Intern will support the development of advanced electric motors for sustainable aviation and other applications, taking on responsibilities similar to a full-time mechanical design engineer.

• Establish and document requirements for designs.
• Conceptualize designs and product architectures.
• Design parts and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Perform mechanical analyses including FEA and CFD.
• Generate engineering drawings per ASME and GD&T standards.
• Create a Design Validation Plan and Report (DVP&R) for new products.
• Support testing execution and integration of sub-systems into full systems.

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.
• Willingness to learn quickly and results-driven mentality.
