Responsibilities
- Collaborate with hardware design, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations teams to implement Supplier Quality Engineering best practices.
- Provide data-driven insights on hardware quality and reliability to influence product roadmaps.
- Represent Supplier Quality Engineering in executive reviews and cross-functional forums.
- Maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers to protect Google from quality and reliability issues.
- Establish quality programs and process controls in suppliers for early issue detection.
- Prevent quality/reliability issues from reaching Google.
- Travel as needed for supplier engagements and quality assessments.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing.
- Preferred Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
- Certification in American Society for Quality (CQE, CQM, CRE, or CQA).
- 10 years of experience in Quality/Reliability and thermal technology.
- Understanding of thermal management and next-generation cooling technologies.
- Ability to travel as needed.
