Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with hardware design, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations teams to implement Supplier Quality Engineering best practices.
  • Provide data-driven insights on hardware quality and reliability to influence product roadmaps.
  • Represent Supplier Quality Engineering in executive reviews and cross-functional forums.
  • Maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers to protect Google from quality and reliability issues.
  • Establish quality programs and process controls in suppliers for early issue detection.
  • Prevent quality/reliability issues from reaching Google.
  • Travel as needed for supplier engagements and quality assessments.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Preferred Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
  • Certification in American Society for Quality (CQE, CQM, CRE, or CQA).
  • 10 years of experience in Quality/Reliability and thermal technology.
  • Understanding of thermal management and next-generation cooling technologies.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
