Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering experts to deliver Cloud Hardware to customers.
- Mentor the team's technical and professional growth through transparent communications and documented plans.
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships with cross-functional leaders in Engineering, Project Management, Commodity Management, Deployment, and Quality organizations.
- Inform and lead organizational and business transformations to enhance operational capability and predictability.
- Contribute to the advancement of the Technical Operations Community through participation in organizational development activities.
- Ensure manufacturing processes are repeatable and controlled in collaboration with vendors.
- Influence early product designs to ensure scalability and create processes, tools, and procedures for hardware platforms.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in manufacturing sheet metal products or electro-mechanical assemblies.
- 3 years of experience in people management and organizational leadership.
- Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in a related engineering field.
- Experience with product data management systems and 3D CAD modeling tools.
- Experience leading Manufacturing Engineering teams for hardware development.
- Understanding of precision sheet metal fabrication processes and electro-mechanical assembly.
